Vanvitelli’s Caserta Palace is the last known example of Baroque architecture. It is located in Italy, and it was the largest building constructed in Europe in the eighteenth century. In accordance with its setting, the palace sports a classicizing academic style with equal attention to aesthetics and engineering. Vanvitelli used the Palace of Versailles as a model for the Caserta Palace.
