Description

David and Washington are getting along well with their studies.
When there is work in the garden, Washington works before 7 a.m. and sometimes three hours a day.
When work is finished, Washington "gets at my studys I can study much better then go to play but I like to play now and then as well as any body."
Washington wrote a composition last Saturday for the first time this summer and he expects to write one every two weeks.
Washington asks for Lowrie to send him a flaginnet. "I would like to learn to play the flaginnet."
