ČKPA is the oldest and longest standing collective of midwives in the country. It is a member of the ICM. It hosted the ICM congress in Prague in 2014.
Stork now shares space with a small clinic in Prague. The building is modern They only have one room now which they describe as "not ideal." However, since there are already registered medical devices on the premises this saves Stork that consideration.
A large new rented facility is built which Stork is allowed to use cooperatively with local family center. They work alongside Willow Tree Family Center.
Stork exists as a birthing facility for just a short 10 months in yet another location. This time they moved to a tenement building. They aren't allowed to use term "birthing house" in their name, and are registered to single midwife adviser Zuzan Stromerova
After a location change and appeal process, Stork still was denied registration. The court formally ended the appeal process upholding the denial of recognition of the birthing house.
Stork took great pains to refurbish the former Kindergarten into a comfortable simulated home for birthing. They decided to continue the legal battle to have their birth center officially registered.
