  • HAM is the Czech Republic's Movement for Active Childbirth/Parenting. It first started in 1999. HAM is a home birth advocacy group that has staged demonstrations highlighting abuses of pregnant women's birth process in hospitals, and organized the first week for respect of childbirth. They state they are "dedicated to improving Czech Obstetrics" on their website

  • UNIPA is the Czech NGO Union of Midwives. First established in 2005, they run courses for students of midwifery, organize conferences, and give information to expectant women. They are part of the Czech Women's Lobby and Association of Public Benefit Organizations.

  • Ivana Königsmarková was sued by the government in 2009 after delivering a baby with complication that later died in hospital. In 2014 she was finally cleared of all charges after spending around 2 weeks in jail and being issued a 2.7 million Crown fine. People gave stories of home births on this website in an outpouring of support for Ivana on this web page which advocated for the dismissal of all charges.
  • A Prague based organization committed to advocating for access to safe home births. They have been trying with much difficulty to get a birth center located legally within the confines of a hospital. The full name in Czech is Porodní Dum U Čápa. They describe themselves as "a non-profit organization founded as a public benefit corporation that seeks to return to natural births Czech obstetrics." Established in 2002.
