- This thin section exhibits skeletal crystal growth in the brown crystal that occupies the center third of the slide. Skeletal structures occur through the growth or corrosion of the internals of the crystal, leading to the void space exhibited. The thin section was captured by Bobby Sacchetta from sample R1827 in Van Wickel.
